wordpress on nginx

Hi i need to setup wordpress in nginx.
The current setup is :
static content ( images, css etc. etc) is handled by nginx and php and cgi is handled by apache.
nginx is configured on port 80. Apache is configured on port 81. nginx is configured to pass php, cgi to apache.

If i install wordpress by the famous five min install. can nginx support the plugin,themes of wordpress??

Only static content. Or, you can make nginx fastcgi_pass to php-cgi FastCGI server, then it will run wordpress.
I am not sure why you are doing it such way, not using nginx fastcgi_pass feature, though.
If you'll have more questions about nginx, please provide more info.
