Wireless NIC under Fedora Core not detected?

I downloaded a DVD image of Fedora Core 5 stable and burned it on on a DVD. I tried to install it and when I got to the networking setup page it did not detect my wireless NIC, I have an old linksys WMP11v4 wireless NIC card (802.11b). I would have thought that by now this card would be supported by the new versions of redhat linux. In the past I had to get a driver from linuxant.com and such. Is there something I can go to get it detected or its just not supported? Why isn't it being detected?

You said that in the past you had to get the drivers from linuxant. Are you unable to get the drivers from them anymore?

linuxant driverloader is the same as ndiswrapper, not as good though. you have to pay for driverloader and ndiswrapper is free of charge...
