WineX 3.3.... Steam on linux :)

WineX 3.3 is out, and steam works much better

the gameplay is very smooth in cs... getting about 80fps (i get 100 with windows, but this is a big improvment)

The game does crash randomly ... but i think with a little playing with it it could work better than any cs ive played under linux so far

Mr. Kex - You have already been informed of LinuxQuestions' policy regarding warez. Posts of this nature are not acceptable. Period.

Please note that there are trial versions of the software available from CodeWeavers or their distributors.

How exactly does one install steam using Winex3 ???

I dont know how to go about installing it. I was looking up linux-gamers.net (i think that was the site) and there was a lot of configuring or something for Wine. But everyone says that you can play Steam on Winex3 w/o problems. I have winex3 but it doesnt install correctly. It gives me some error about a steam.dll or something??

It doesnt work with winx 3.2.1. you need 3.3 (the latest version)

If you have a transgaming account, you can download Point2Play from thier site, and use that to manage and install your games. Its easier than using a Microsoft product
