wine(X) with a win modem
i have a cd that has my modem drivers (the only thing keeping me from using linux 100%) and i would like to know if i can use that driver with wine or winex
currently i am running...
peanut linux (kde with some of the libs and gcc cut out, but on a 56k modem i think i did good)
kde 3.0 (or 3.1)
i'm not sure on the kernal (i downloaded it around aug. '02)
another problem.
my lilo doesn't work. (the cd's version was a bad copy)
anyway i installed it over an old debian version of linux and deleted that partition (and replaced it with a working win 98 setup...then deleted that too) so i kinda had to wipe my entire mbr clean (using fdisk /mbr) and try to reinstall linux. i used a non net install disk and got a good o/s and gui. now i have to boot off a cdrom to get my linux working. this is going to get difficult when the new kernal comes out (and then i cant update it).
i tried to reinstall it
i tried to probe also (it did read the partitions)
any help?
