WINE unable to run E-sword, runtime error 429.

Good day, I tried installing e-sword from 2002 and it went well, but the latest e-sword won't run in WINE. It reads: "runtime error 429", and "activex component can't create object".

I am running Ubuntu Studio 12.04 with the xfce environment, on a Dell Inspirion 410 desktop, with 6gb RAM and a QUAD CORE.

I could do with help to get this going. Do I need install anything new from a repository?

Something odd just happened. I removed the old e-sword a few days ago trying for the new one. But in the meantime re-installed old 2002 e-sword, in WINE I think Windows 8. It installed and on starting asked me about moving files, I pressed ok, and it gave me a read out saying it was upgrading. Then the new e-sword opened after about forty seconds. It has the old red start icon, and the new blue screen and new GUI.
