I recently installed the latest version of WINE(just grabbed the RPM off winhq.com)... It took me a little while but in KDE I finally got wine to try to open windows programs by telling it to open .exe files using //bin/winlaunch... when I try to run an app (kazaalite installer) I get a popup box "This program requires Windows 4.1 or later" then another box pops up giving me options to debug, view log and what not... I tried debugging it but got nothing... The log says something about a bunch of missing DLLs... and that it can't use the floppy or the cdrom... HELP!!

even after installing wine, you need to configure it. I am sure that the RPM installed documentation on your system to give the details. You will have to create a .wine dir in your home dir and put a configuration file in there like the wine documentation instructions say.

if you download the .tgz, the readme walks you through it pretty well. i think the script is something like

./tools/wineinstall
