neither wine nor winex work.... i have the latest version, and i'm thinking that it has something to do with directdraw drivers, could it be that i need to set those up in the configuration?
You might be trying to run a program that just doesn't work using a winbloze emulator from codeweavers (maybe vmware).
Have you had success in running other programs, maybe similar programs, created by other vendors? If so, this one might be one of those mentioned in the above paragraph.
oh, no i didn't. sorry for being vague... i just erased the program. none the less, i can't really get anything to work with wine, except the simplest programs like notepad and the like. what use is wine, really? i can't see any, because nothing works on it! has anyone gotten a good game or application to run with it?
ya i have sucessfully run encyclopedia britannica in wine !
it might be configuration problems in wine....... i recommend u get winetools along with wine
