Unhappy Wine Problems

When issuing the command "wine something.exe". The program starts (well, the setup), the install shield bar gets to 99% then a blank box pops up with an error symbol!!

when i read the bash console it says: Using hard script, this will change next time (or words to that effect).

then it says "add a winmm line to your config"....

So, off i toddle to my config....and yup, the line is already there, it says:

winmm ="Native"

what to do?
