Exclamation Wine Painfully SLOW

Okay I noticed wine has been running extremly slow for some time, however haven't had much time to deal with it. For example I was installing DVD Shrink so I tpye
Code:
wine /path/to/DVD_Shrink.exe
and wine hangs there for a good 5+ min (no exaggeration)
then after that wine starts to spit out
Code:
wine '/mnt/hdd1/progs/dvdshrink32setup.exe'

fixme:richedit:RichEditANSIWndProc EM_LIMITTEXT: stub
fixme:richedit:RichEditANSIWndProc EM_EXLIMITTEXT: stub
and as I speak the program is still "Finishing Installation"
This goes for anything Wine related, it just takes for EVER.

Any Ideas as to what it is? Oh I also just upgraded to 9.16.

THANKS!

edit: Also I would like to add that I recently was trying to install a program NP2 using wine and I get a system32.dll error. Just throwing it in there in case its some how related.

edit2: Well, I am attempting to install photoshop and same problem, still waiting for the install window to come up, CPU usage drops down to 4% while waiting... just feels like NOTHING is happening.

Please check Wine AppDB, appdb.winehq.org. You can find many tips to install different applications there.

hmmm its not so much the installation though anything I run on wine runs really slow. Google recently released some kind of program for managing pictures and ported it to linux using wine, that program (which was bundled inside their own container of wine) ran painfully slow as well. Right now I am working on a remedy, I just did a make uninstall and removed an old Wine package, I am hoping this will get rid of any possible conflict and maybe even fix the problem.

Sweet I don't quite know what was going on but cleaning everything from wine and reinstalling from scratch did the trick, well I hope this helps someone out .
