wine not finding my cdrom

I've installed DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink under Wine but when I open up DVD Decrypter I get a message of "No Devices Detected". The same thing goes for DVD Shrink. Any ideas? Nothing in my wine.conf file lists my DVD/CD drive. Does anyone know of a specific configuration that i need to have in there for wine to see that drive?

DVD Decrypter looks for SCSI devices, I haven't tried this in a long time, (since the 2.6.x kernels were released) but one way to get DVD Decrypter to 'see' your cdrom was to build the kernel with SCSI emulation support for cdroms. This was common practice for 2.4.x series kernels that needed to provide support for CD/DVD burners. You can enable SCSI emulation on a 2.6 kernel but its considered depreciated.

Ugh! Rebuild the kernel? Hmm, sounds like it might just be easier to use Linux-native programs to get the job done. Thanks for the info! :)
