wine/msoffice 97 question

Using wine-20040813 with KDE 3.2 and MDK 10
MS Office 97

The install of Office went okay.
When typing in Word the text does not show up on the screen.
Spellcheck places the red lines where the words should be however.
Below is what is in konsole after closing wine.

[don@localhost don]$ wine /home/don/.wine/fake_windows/"Program Files"/"Microsoft Office"/Office/winword.exe
fixme:x11drv:X11DRV_GetDeviceCaps (0x730): CAPS1 is unimplemented, will return 0
fixmesdrv:PSDRV_DeviceCapabilities DC_BINADJUST: stub.
fixmesdrv:PSDRV_DeviceCapabilities DC_BINADJUST: stub.
fixmesdrv:PSDRV_DeviceCapabilities DC_BINADJUST: stub.
fixme:iconrawIconEx no flags set? setting to DI_NORMAL
[don@localhost don]$

Any ideas on solving this?
