Question Wine install question

Hi,
I'm trying to install wine with yum on fc4 x86_64 but yum says that the package isn't signed and stops...

"Package wine-0.9.2-1fc4winehq.athlon.rpm is not signed"

What should I do?

Thanks

Steve

Try installing it from source. It may be a 32bit package.

I did't find wine in the 64bit section...

downloading the i386 package atm. Will this work on an x86_64 system?

thanks for the link.

yes it will. wine is only 32 bit, because windows for the most part is 32 bit. Any 32 bit program will run in a 64 bit system.

That is not entirely complete, as a statement. You must also have all 32bit libraries and dependencies installed IN ADDITION to your current 64bit ones to install, then run a 32bit package properly.

True enough, I had to install a fair few compat-libs before it would work.

I ended up getting Stronghold Crusader to run, it runs slowly but at least it works.

64 bit is definitely faster and smoother but sometimes you feel a bit left out software wise.

Cheers

Steve
