Wine Install problems


Hi all I am trying to install wine and I get this:

[root@localhost amdmhz]# rpm -Uvh wine-20040121-1rh9winehq.src.rpm
warning: user vincent does not exist - using root

warning: group vincent does not exist - using root

1:wine ########################################### [100%]

I am using Red Hat 9.0. Where I do a whereis wine and just says wine:

Has anyone else had problems?

well first i want to point out that your using the source rpm ..
so get this one
and try again ...
if the same thing happens, i would suggest compiling from source, but if you dont want to do that, then make a user "vincent"

p.s. read this if you wanna know about source (src.rpm) rpm's ...

but first and foremost, try installing the rpm i linked orginally, and see if it helps ..

Thanks for the help. I get this error

[root@localhost amdmhz]# rpm -Uvh wine-20040121-1rh9winehq.i386.rpm
Segmentation fault

I added the user vincent for kicks and this is what I got:

[root@localhost amdmhz]# rpm -Uvh wine-20040121-1rh9winehq.src.rpm
1:wine ########################################### [100%]
[root@localhost amdmhz]# whereis wine
wine:

Though it told me wine 100% I can not find wine anywhere. Does anyone have a clue???

I cant even seem to rebuild the scr.rpm for wine
