Wine in Virtualbox

Hi,

maybe my questions sounds funny: i'm looking for a very small (or better as small as necessary) distro which runs in a virtual box an starts wine.

The reason is: we have new laptops in my school runnig windows7 64bit home and we have some software which runs only on WinXP. So why not take a virtualbox wich runs wine to start the old Software?

Interesting idea, if indeed there is software that runs better under Wine in a vm than under win 7. Try it with any distro first before you try to minimize the footprint. I'd recommend something easy to setup with Wine included... Ubuntu eg

Yes, you are right. I should try it in wine before. In the end I am interested in a small and fast booting machine which directly starts the application...
