Im not sure where to start this post (Im not very experienced using forums of any kind so if I post this not in the right place or form Id like to apologize).
I was going to seek advice on running applications on wine that I couldnt get running properly.
Im sure there are a lot of people who are interested in wine and this is a popular forum I often find myself on whenever I search linux related keywords of any topic on internet search engines.
I was wondering if there is any place on this forum (maybe a sub forum) where one can find general information about wine (how it works in depth, beginners guides etc.) and in what form one can get advice/help on wine here (posting individual threads on one application/problem/error/bug, larger threads where these are gathered thematically or something else?), a place on this forum where one can find guides on fixing errors in general or a place on this forum that points to other places/other forums/handy websites/wine specific website-or-forums that are recommended if ones trying to get to know wine or get a program working
and if there isnt such a thing on this forum whether youd find it a good idea to create one
Also feel free to reply if your opinion is that anyone who is looking for the above should go to wines official forums or specify any other website
We don't have any software specific forums here. Wine is, in the general context of Linux, pretty marginal so wouldn't justify any specific attention here at LQ. There are plenty of other sides out there like winehq which provide specific information much better than we would ever want to.
