wine.conf

Where is an example of 'wine.conf' that can be downloaded?
I've been googling for over an hour with no luck.
Installed wine from an rpm and there is no 'wine.conf'

Well from what I've seen to configure wine the config file is actually:

~/.wine/config

Not wine.conf. I'm on Suse 9.1 and distributions may vary, etc. but I downloaded the version of wine recommended on the winetools site, and I used winetools to automate generation of the "fake windows" environment and configuration files. I recommend you do the same.

Winetools can be had from: http://www.von-thadden.de/Joachim/WineTools/

Wine is moving away from wine.conf as a configuration file, and moving configuration into the registry, which wineprefixcreate does generate. In the future winecfg will edit the registry. In the meantime, a sample wine.conf is available in /usr/doc/Wine-<wine_version>/samples. The documentation is included and is available in /usr/doc/Wine-<wine_version>/.

I am using wine version 20041201
~/.wine/config -> do not have
/usr/doc/Wine-<wine_version>/samples -> do not have

There is a /root/wine/config however

I'm trying to get Shrink 3.2 running.
Shrink does not show a DVD when trying to open a file.
I'm trying to change wine to see the DVD.
There is ~/.wine/dosdevices/c and /z
clicking on /z opens the root directory.

I need to get Shrink to recognize /mnt/cdrom
there is no mention of /z or /mnt/cdrom in /root/.wine/config
