Windows Video Converters Available Under Linux

Hi,

I heard that the Linux video converters are not as good as their Windoze counterparts, e.g., the Windoze tools runs much much faster. Is that so? I never have any experience with Windoze tools.

Is there any decent Windoze video converters that can run under wine or CodeWeavers CrossOver? Which tool can do a good job converting .avi to DVD? Which one do you recommend?

thanks a lot

Hi, ctkroeker, thanks for the reply. However, I can't quite understand what you are saying.

- I asked for Windows Video Converters, you said "DVDrip in Linux", did you mean the Perl tool dvd::rip?

- Are you sure that it can convert avi to DVD (as I asked)?
