Win4Lin problem with Linux 2.6
Hi,
I successfully installed and used Win4Lin with Linux 2.4, but I can't use it with Linux 2.6. I'm using Win4Lin 5.5.2 so it should work well with Linux 2.6. I patched and recompiled my kernel using the patches Kernel-Win4Lin3-2.6.7.patch and mki-adapter26_1_3_7.patch for Linux 2.6.7. Here is the problem: The Win4Lin init script (/etc/init.d/Win4Lin) doesn't work well. I investigated that it loads the module mki-adapter successfully. After that it tries to load the modules in /opt/win4lin/drivers/ (the *.o files) which fails because the insmod utility cannot recognizes their format. The script output mentions that they should be loaded with insmod_ver. What about this? I haven't got any such file in my Win4Lin rpm. Anyone has it? Where can I get it? Thanks in Advance, Lac |
