Win32 and xvid codecs in SuSE 9.1 64 bit?

I cant seem to get xine to play any video that isn't a simple mpeg. Im running the 64 bit version of SuSE 9.1 I could watch any type of video back on suse 8.2 32bit so I have installed the xvid and win32 codecs before. I installed them the same as before but no go. Is is possible to use the win32 codecs on a 64 bit system?? I seem to be running other 32bit software just fine. Any help is appreciated. Also is there a 64bit specific forum for linux users anywhere?
