win xp/redhat 7.3 dual boot
installed xp on 90 gigs, redhat on the other 10. chose grub as bootloader. never given an os choice, right to linux. re-installed both, chose lilo as bootloader, same thing. re-installed both, choosing no boot loader. boots right into xp. any ideas. i had thought about running fixmbr in xp, but that just seems kinda pointless. but somethings gotta do it right? thanks in advance. you guys have been great so far.

What I used to do (while I still had the *other thing* [I refuse to call
those products operating system ;)] besides Linux was install that first, then Linux, and chuck lilo into the MBR of the first HDD... Works sweet. Cheers, Tink |
Did you make a boot floppy for RH?
|
Yes, the boot floppy is a good choice =)
But if you want another point tof view, you may always use a bootmanager to select the booting OS, such as PowerQuest's BootMagic. (Works fine, I've tried...) Tih _________________________________________ Never trust an OS you don't have the sources for... LinuxReg. #303866 |
