Win XP and Samba Share red X on login

Hey there,

I occassionaly (no real pattern) get an "unable to connect to mapped drives" (the red X) when logging onto an XP Pro client. The shares are always there and work fine when accessed... but I'd really like to nuke the "red X" once and for all. Any words of wisdom on this one?

Both XP Pro and Samba (on Redhat 7.3) are up to date.

cheers and thanks,
