Win 2k whore trying to install redhat 6.2
Hello all
I have win 2k already installed and I want to install redhat 6.2 my drive is set to 4 gigs fat 32 (win 2k) (1.5 linux) now I installed it using the workstation install already.... which hung after installing and I had to fidsk /mbr to get rid of lilo taking over my boot. Now when I try to use custom install and I set my linux partition to / or / root /usr the next field is still greyed out please help... I don't know what other info to put in here thanks please reply. :newbie: at work |
i believe redhat 6.2 has the 1024 cylinder problem and it can't see past that... if your trying to install linux past that cylinder, then its not gonna detect it... i would suggest either trying a later version of redhat or linux, or you need to setup a different partition scheme... well, in my opinion that is the easiest way... would be to get a later version....
