why wont i810_audio load


I am trying to get my sound working, I have an ac97 soundcard, using with slackware9.1. any help on sorting out these errors would be appreciated

with slack 9.1, alsa is the default sound program

do, su -, then do alsaconf and go through the program and select the model u use

i use the exact same card and it works great with alsa in slack

(so note: i810_audio is not wanted by slack and it is not compiled into their generic kernels)

THANK YOU! I have been googling for 2 days, not one mention of alsaconf anywhere. this worked beutifully.

Thanks that helped a bunch for me too sound is now working for the most part
