Possibly. But the freedom comes in where you choose another application that performs that function, or you write one yourself piggybacked from their code. That's where it's different. I can't choose a law to obey, or part of it, but I sure can edit any Open Source code I've got, and choose what I want to use and what not ;)

And that's sort of an irony about the situation. Perhaps an imposed increase of security (read decrease in usability) will be what forces the average user/administrator to stop being as complacent. I'm willing to start a pool if anyone wants to make some guesses as to how this will all play out...:D
