Unhappy Why i got errors while installing supertux game for linux


I am getting errors when running the .configur e file in supertux folder
error is: configure: error: *** SDL version 1.2.4 not found
how can i solve it...I am using kubuntu 8.10

Open Synaptic Package Manager, and install build-essential, gawk, and the SDL libraries - you'll need the ones that end in -dev. See if that works.

I believe Kubuntu uses Adept, unless they changed with 8.10.

Also, if you activate Multiverse and Universe repos in the package manager, you'll find SuperTux there under Games. Installing from there will automatically include necessary support files, etc.

A much better solution.
