Why I can not play the steam audio or video

why I can not play the streams on the internet
I have installed the plugs
however,I can not do that any more!!
please help this poor guy!

Any info at all would be much appreciated. What distro, what players, what links, what files, what 'plugs' when you say 'any more' I assume you could before, what changed...
