why doesnt gtkpod see that i have gtk?
 

i just downloaded and installed ubuntu, and i wanted to use gtk pod. the installer says that i do not have gtk. this is the same problem i had with knoppix... why is this? am i not installing in the correct directory? please excuse an idiot noob...

How are you trying to install it? Are you using Synaptic with the Universe and Multiverse repositories? Are you trying to compile it by hand?
