Why does imwheel randomly take up 99% of resources until I kill/restart it :(!?

Gah ...

Watching TV while browsing the web, suddenly I get around 1 FPS... I look to my trusty gkrellm monitor ... 99% CPU usage.

Hmm...

I run top and right at the top is imwheel and X with about 50% each. I kill imwheel and then all is well again, X drops in percentage usage)

What's it doing? Nobody else seems to have this problem (unless my searches are awful :( )

Steve
