Why am I getting this error?

Hi all. I am messing around with wine and when I type commands that are in the folder it gives me this error:

[root@localhost tools]# ls
apiw.index fnt2bdf.h makehtml.pl wineconf.libs
apply_patch fnt2bdf.o make_os2.cmd wineconf.tcl
bin2res font_convert.sh make_requests winedump
bin2res.c genpatch make_X11wrappers wineinstall
bin2res.o install-sh png2c.C winelauncher
bug_report.pl ipcl testrun winelauncher.in
c2man.pl make_authors unimap.pl winemaker
config.guess make_debug widl wineshelllink
config.sub makedep winapi winex
examine-relay makedep.c winapi_check wmc
findfunc makedep.o winebuild wrc
fnt2bdf Makefile winecheck
fnt2bdf.c Makefile.in wineconf
[root@localhost tools]# wineinstall
-bash: wineinstall: command not found
[root@localhost tools]#

Command not found? I am root even and the command is right there?

well first you shouldn't be root when your doing this, second make sure the file actually has executable permissions, and i can see you are located in the tools folder, but try putting ./ in front of the executable and see if that helps ..
ex. ./wineinstall
or try typing the full path ... some how it will work, just try different things ...
