I use IceWM. But your poll is a little off. X window system would be Xorg or XFree86. All those others are classified under window managers and/or desktop environments.
"A little" is an euphemism. The X server has nothing to do with the window manager or desktop environment, which is what this thread is about.
The title is completely misleading.
X servers are Xorg, XFree, Y-Window, Kdrive, etc. Relation to this thread: zero. I suggest a title change.
Thanks to you two for recognizing that those desktop environments are NOT the X Window System.
I'm not voting, but I prefer KDE 3.x to anything else I've used in Linux.
This question is quite bad formed! X System? Is that xorg?
Aren't Gnome, KDE Desktop Envs? What about this window managers?
We're mixing things like windows users..
Anyway: XFCE + Xmonad
I voted for Gnome because it is the one I am most familiar with and can actually use.
Xfce seems to be related to it, in that it comes with a few programs associated with Gnome, and I like it just as much, too. It's enlarging, though.
KDE just baffles me. Out to lunch over it. I try, but it wins. The collection of programs it comes with, such as Konqueror, are just weak. Krita has real potential, though, and it should be distributed more widely, while The GIMP can't pull itself out of the '90s and should be wiped off hard drives.
LXDE interests me for a specific netbook OS replacement, but I haven't used it much yet.

You are absolutely right, people should think about this and use correct terms.
