Which package do these files belong to?

Hello,
I'm not sure how, but I have removed some key files:

/usr/X11R6/lib/libXvMCNVIDIA.so.1.0.6629
/usr/lib/libnvidia-tls.so.1.0.6629
/usr/lib/libGLcore.so.1.0.6629
/usr/lib/libGL.so.1.0.6629
/usr/lib/tls/libnvidia-tls.so.1.0.6629

Does anyone know which package these belong to so I can reinstall that package to get them back? Thanks in advance.

That all looks like part of the nvidia driver package.

Probably NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-6629-pkg1.run or something like.

Thanks for your reply.

When I try to install the nvidia drivers again, it complains about not being about to read these files which would suggest that the installer didn't se them up right or that they need to already be there. Any ideas?

The other day I puchased Linspire because Star Office was "free." Now I have done a bunch of reading (which I should have done first) and am liking Xandros or Mandrake better.

Question is will the Linspire version of Star Office run on either Mandrake or Xandros?

Hm. I don't use Fedora so I don't know anything about that, and I've never had any problems with the nvidia drivers so I never learned much about them, either. I learn most when stuff doesn't work. :D So I'm just guessing that either you need to uninstall the drivers (even though they already are) before reinstalling or that you may possibly need to do something with your rpm database. I don't think the drivers pay any attention to that, but I'm not sure.

J-Alta-K, you really ought to start a separate thread for a question like that but, to try to answer your question, I doubt it, but it might well work on Xandros since Xandros and Linspire are both Debian-based (I believe). The likelihood of incompatibility is high, though, and it almost certainly wouldn't work with Mandrake.

Thanks for your response.

I looked for a way to start a new thread but couldn't find it. I'm probably just brain dead.

Well, this site gets more buttons every day it seems and some of them are hard to find. :) On the main page of a given forum, at the bottom left just below the thread list, there's a 'new thread' button. Probably others but that's the one I go for.
