which p2p
being a linux newbie , i am looking for a file p2p that I can just intall and run , tried gnutella- downloaded rpm clicked to install , but now cannot find it anywhere !!!
done the locate comand , the whereis command , and searched for files snd folders including hidden ones. please help !! |
i asked a similar question, actually not too long ago. if you ever used kazaa with windows i would really use kazaa, i think its one of the easiest p2p's out there. you have to run it under wine, which always you to run windows apps in linux! if u want to stick with the one you just installed, read the read me, those are very helpful. but how to run kazaa can be found HERE and to find out more about wine and to download it go HERE .... hopes this helps!

Try mldonkey
http://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/mldonkey/ Lets you connect to a lot of networks at the same time |
Once again, I am afraid I really have to advocate gtk-gnutella. I like it. I am biased since I am on the development mailing list (though I don't hack on it), but I will say it has a small memory footprint, generally is very stable, and is highly configurable.
