I'm still a newb, but I'm impressed with the things mplayer and the mplayerplug-in can do!!

trickykid 07-20-2003 11:57 PM

I have a feeling most will use two different programs, one for music and one for videos and there are many not listed in that poll.

Im still a newb and for some reason I cant' get mplayer or mplayer plug-in to do anything. I figured if I clicked on a vid link that one would start up automatically, but it don't. I get "mplayer loading" and then nothing. Would be nice to figure what and how to make it work better. I also have xine installed but not sure how to use that either.

For music I use xmms and listen to Shoutcast.com 60 & 70's music.

ah well.....looks like I made a slight oversight and didn't realise that people might use more than one media player for different purposes - never mind :)
