Which is the VERY best FTP-server available on the market for Linux?

This when it comes to:
data throughput, security and user friendlyness.

prob proftpd w/ webmin :P

http://proftpd.org or u could go ssh :P

IMHO, most are pretty much the same. I don't think that webmin's got support for any other ftp server other than proftpd by default, though.

Just my $0.02

As far as you can have any security with a cleartext protocol like FTP, it should be prioritized over user friendlyness. I'd say Vsftpd or Muddleftpd are the least vulnerable daemons because their code has been audited well and they default to not running external binaries or scripts. I've been running Muddleftpd for over 3 yrs now w/o any probs or security upgrades.

If you want real security go for OpenSSH's scp or sftp and restrict usage to shells like the ssh dummy shell, rssh or scponly.

NCFTPd is very secure and easy to setup. the only prob with it is I haven't been able to get FXP working on it. proftpd is great as well but it has some past probs with security. Other then that I'd go with unSpawn on this one.
