hi, i know xine will play dvd's from the harddrive.
i'm using rh9 and after i bought a seagate 120 gb and copied my linux partition to it, xine doesn't play dvd's from the hardrive anymore. first i got bad mrl errors about half the time, but as time went on they became more frequent until lately it absolutely refuses to play from harddrive.
when i test it using the dvd drive, it seems to take about :30 seconds longer to start and when i use the skip button it usually freezes for about :10 seconds or occassionally i will have to kill it.
i rip the dvd by using vobcopy -m
anybody else have issues with vobcopy and xine ?
