Which application should I use to get remove red eye in photos?
Hi
I usually use Paint Shop Pro 7 on Windows XP to remove "red eye" from photos. I can't find a red eye removal tool in GIMP 2.0.2 (Mepis 2004.6). I would appreciate a linux application/tool/filter/plugin which is easy to use like PSP7 red eye removal tool? Thanks in Advance John |
I don't use GIMP enough to know if it does or does not have a 'tool' to fix red-eye. But, there is a work-around. Select the red-eye part of the image, and edit the selection to change the color.

It doesn't have to be GIMP
I have used the Lasso selection Tool and tried to use color saturate tool but I just can't get it right. There is a dropper tool in GIMP which tells me the colour I want, but I can't figure out how to replace the red eye colour with another colour?

Is there a repository of perl plugins for Gimp somewhere on the web? URL anyone?

Digikam 0.7.1 for KDE
DigiKam 0.7.1 has an easy to use red-eye removal tool similar to the ones you get in digital photo processing shop. DigiKam is a KDE application. Does anybody know a Gnome application which offers the same ease of use?
