Whic perl??


Which latest perl is suitable for Redhat AS4 i386 system?
where do I get it from?

5.10.0 is the current "standard", as far as I know. I still use 5.8.6/5.8.8 because Filter.pm "breaks" in 5.10.0 and is required for my company's encryption routines.

Default for Redhat EL4 / AS4 is : perl-5.8.5

The current build / update is '49', 23-May-2009 :
perl-5.8.5-49.el4.i386.rpm

If you don't have a valid Redhat account,
a free version is here :
http://ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux.../i386/SL/RPMS/
