where to put mozplugger for firefox?

What is the proper plugin folder for firefox? I put the mozplugger file in /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/plugins but if I start it I don't see the plugin in preferences nor is my mime-type list updated.

Put all of your plugins in one of the following, depending on which you have

~/.mozilla/plugins
~/.firefox/plugins

Still doesn't recognize the plugin. I didn't have the .firefox folder so I tried creating and also putting it in the firefox folder I have in my home directory but it doesn't work

Try the ~/.mozilla/plugins folder.

Folder didn't exist but after creating it and copying it still didn't work.
