Where to download wine for Fedora core 6


Hi everyone

I want to install Strong DC++ -- a p2p software for windowns in linux
can any one send me the links to download wine for fedoracore 6 so that i can install it without any failed dependacies....

i have also tried yum install


$yum install wine
and finally i got the following message

but i am unable to run a exe file using wine..
when i type wine in openwith its says wine not found
how to use this wine to install EXEs
I searched for wine in " / " but i didnt find wine
What happened to the installation that i have done???

Did you try 'yum -y install wine'?

After that message, did you press 'y' and enter? Did it download and successfully install wine? You don't seem to post those messages?

i didnt press anything after the message
what u meant can be achevied buy using the following command ---
i suppose
yum -y install wine
am i right??

I am not positive, but I think when you click on the exe, hit open with other, then wine config. After I installed wine all I had to do was to double click on a windows exe and it just fired up.

Go to system tools and verify that wine is automatically started. I am not at a linux terminal at this momement, but it is system administration, services, and you open the entry to see which are started or stopped.

If in text mode, chkconfig is the command. Use Man chkconfig to verify if wine is running.
