where is torsmo's default config file?

Hey there,

I could probably find this if I was a bit more experienced, but I can't. I am setting up torsmo the way I would like, and it would be nice to have the current config (the program's default) file to look at. Anyone know where I could find this?

Another, probably related question...where do most programs keep their files? (aside from the binaries)

Thanks~

What kind of files? Icons, graphics etc should be somewhere in /usr/local/share, conf files should be somewhere in /usr/local and the user-specific config files will be dot files in your home directory. Torsmo is ~/.torsmorc :)

thanks. I was looking for the default config file, the file the program will default to, if the user's ~/.torsmorc was not available (or there). I was writing my own torsmorc, and wanted something to make my life easier. I'm going to check the torsmo tarballs (I'm running gentoo, so I didn't have to deal with that). I assume, because I am using portage, I didn't get an example config, but that there is something given to you during the install.

I was also curious where applications are "installed." I know where the binaries are, I just wanted to have a place to look next time.

Thanks~

im not sure where the default conf file is but there is a sample one included with the tarball... torsmorc.sample :)

I think the defaults are built into the program in this case, so using the sample file reksav mentioned is probably your best bet.
