Does anyone know where the Mozilla Thunderbird dictionary is stored? I'd like to add custom words via Right click and 'Add to Dictionary' and would like these to be available in a future new distro install. Is it somewhere within ~/.thunderbird? I see no persdict.dat file like there is in ~/.mozilla.

I've just checked my current Icedove and old Thunderbird directories and the persdict.dat seems to be in the pseudo-randomly named profile folder as it is for Firefox.

Hi 273.
Ah yes. I added a custom word but did not see any persdict.dat file -- that is until I quit Thunderbird and the persdict.dat file appeared with the new word within.

I did similar -- I added a nonsense word and grepped for it. Glad you found it anyhow .
