where is the program installed?


I ran ./configure to an ssh program 'now I want to find that program and run it but where can I find it ?

p.s

I use red hat .

I never installed ssh from source, but I thinks you need to type make and make install after ./configure. Then type sshd to start the daemon and ssh <pc name> to connect to a pc.

It doesn't matter where the program is, if you installed it correctly (you did run "makew" and "make install" i take it?) then it will be on your path, you you just run it from a console or a menu using just the appplication name. it's location (probaly /usr/bin) does not matter

you mean I need to type sshd on the server?

how I configure that on each time the server comes up I will be able to connect to him in ssh?

The command sshd starts the service that runs that allows you to connect you a server/pc.

ssh is the command that lets you connect to that machine.
