Where is ltdl library under Mandrake Linux 9.2?? (Help with giFT installation)

Hi there,
Fairly new Linux user, finding my way. I'm working on installing giFT 0.11.8.1 under Mandrake Linux 9.2 (standard install, nothing funny, only separate mount was /swap on a separate HD), and get a "couldn't find ltdl library" error when running ./configure I'm using Gnome's default terminal window (launched from the bottom of the screen), whichever shell that is.

Searching for "ldtl", I found some links to /usr/lib, and thus tried re-running as:

$ ./configure ltdl=/usr/lib

Same error. Is my syntax wrong, or are the ltdl libraries placed somewhere else under Mandrake 9.2? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

-=Andrei
