To set the core file generation if error occurs
Code:
ulimit -c unlimited

To check if any core file is generated by the user by that user's process
Code:
find $HOME -name "core*" -type f

To know the binary related to that core.
Code:
file core_file_name

To use the gdb command on using core file
Code:
gdb binary core_file_name

To know the information related to the core file in gdb.
Code:
gdb) where
