when install matlab in Ubuntu, it said "mount: /dev/loop0: can't read superblock"

Dear Friends
it's my first time to use Linux because of my project. I want to install the software MATLAB in the system, when I mount the ISO files, it always reminds that "mount: /dev/loop0: can't read superblock",who can tell me? this is what I did:

root@ubuntu:/home/sword10/Mathworks_Matlab_R2013a# sudo mount -o loop Matlab801_MacUnix.iso /mnt/matlab
mount: /dev/loop0: can't read superblock
root@ubuntu:/home/sword10/Mathworks_Matlab_R2013a#

many thanks

Welcome to LinuxQuestions

I would try specifying a file system i.e.
sudo mount -t iso9660 -o loop Matlab801_MacUnix.iso /mnt/matlab
