just compile all as modules.

I use codepage 850 and 437 and nls iso 8859 1 and 15 but it won't hurt to have all as module.

hi
mount -t msdos 6 /mnt/d
works!!!
thanks for this
the problem i have here is it is not showing the names of files and folders correctly, i am thinking this is because of NLS,charsets settings
i will check those out soon

meanwhile this the output of
cat /proc/filesystem

nodev sysfs
nodev rootfs
nodev bdev
nodev proc
nodev sockfs
nodev futexfs
nodev tmpfs
nodev pipefs
nodev eventpollfs
nodev devpts
ext2
nodev ramfs
msdos
vfat
iso9660
nodev mqueue
ext3
ntfs
nodev autofs

also why is that vfat not working here??

regards
gaurav

The names will be wrong because it's mounted as msdos. You need the vfat to get the long filenames.... but at least that works. You will need the charset for the vfat to work I think...

or they have depriciated some charset in 2.6.8
