whats The big secret

I've Posted this four times now with no reply, Whats the big secret?.
Is there a way to have Japanese,Chinese,Malaysian.Korean input set up on an english gnome desktop so I can toggle between them??????????
Mandrake 10 is the dist.
I,ve tried "keyboard switching applet" And it does not seem to work, only in some languages like Serbian.
what am I doing wrong? what do I need to do To get it working?
is there a site with a howto?
I,ve looked all over to get some sort of a hint with no luck.
This is my last go at trying to get some help from the linux community.
I have 6 X terminals sitting on desks useless to the people who need to use them with the people who
said to me linux was to much work to put in the classrooms laughing at it.
Looks like Mr gates might have won this school Back.
