gotcha... yeah, spoke too soon on that one - don't know how i could have missed it. regardless, i think that the browsing capabilities of itunes are much more powerful, and i stand by my previous claim(s)...
I agree with jimbob1234 about Virtualdub but only with capture. We need some really good capture utilities. As for video editing Virtualdub can't hold a candle to AviDemux.
All Adobe CS programs. I love Photoshop and Illustrator...and still nothing can beat Adobe Acrobat's PDF.
Not many more programs, maybe Macromedia Flash (not Dreamweaver, vim's still better), or some games.
C'mon apple you gave into the ultimate evil Micro$oft, why not port to linux? It can't be that hard. Doesn't even have to have the itunes downloadable music (since i can't get it anyways down here in oz). I just like using itunes.
How about a nice video editing software suite? There is nothing remotely close to this on Linux as far as I know. About the best one could do is use GIMP to manipulate certain frames...lol
Check out cinelerra. It's a huge memory hog and it's easy to make it crash, but it's GPL and has all the functionality of a professional video editing suite.
Originally posted by courtrrb Hey khermans their are plenty if your know where to look. I gave up on the Windows verison because they arn't as good as the ones in linux.
Other than GPL'd cinelerra, what do you recommend? Are you referring to non-free apps? I am very interested in hearing your response!!!
