I know everyone wants this, but all Adobe software would be fine. Come on, their main development env is Unix based (Mac OS X) and there are differences but they are not the biggest in the world.
If you like Pegasus ... have you tried Evolution or even Thunderbird?
I was using Pegasus in 1993 and must say they had very nice features back then. Now however it seems all email clients have at least those features, and many have much more.
Wow! Pegasus is still going? I used it back in about 1998 and it hadn't long been out then. Great e-mail client but I only use webmail now and have done for years. Thunderbird? Did somebody say? is all I will say...
Ableton Live. The only thing I really miss from windows. There are alternatives, but with this kind of program... It's never the same, they're all different in some kind.
I'd like to see a Linux version of iReasoning. It's MIB browser but only runs on Windows. There may be Linux based MIB browsers out there, I haven't looked, but I'm familiar with this and it does what I need.
but ireasoning mib browser is java based and it has included .sh script for linux.
Quote:
iReasoning MIB Browser
browser.bat: script for launching MIB browser on windows.
browser.sh: script for launching MIB browser on UNIX.
browser.commad: script for launching MIB browser on OS X.
Open a shell window and run the script to start MIB browser.
I'd really like to see Pegasus Mail in a linux version. It's without doubt the most carefully-though-out e-mail client; but now that I'm free of Microsoft, I really miss it. Generally, I use a MacBook, but I can't stay away from SuSE, Mint and Zorin for experimenting.
I've used Pegasus Mail under WINE; and it seems to be stable, but a real Linux version would be great

Agreed, a great mail client. Though, I will admit that it has been something like 10 years since I last used it.... When I started using Linux a bit more seriously I was using Kmail. It was similar to Pegasus in many ways. Then I moved over to strictly webmail and had no need for either..
