I want to see a Linux version of Dreamweaver. Is realy important because until now we don`t find a real webdesign for Linux. As adobe could make a version copy for adobe reader, they can make another one for the rest of their product , the Linux community is grwing everyday so .the future is Linux
Today , Tomorrow ,Linux
I would like to have Rhapsody ported to Ubuntu so I could move music to my Palm T/X from the Ubuntu desktop instead of having to go to my windows desktop just for moving music to the palm. If there is a Linux alternative, I would appreciate somebody letting me know. I know I can use Evolution for moving my address book and calender and memo, but not music.
Half Life 2, without a doubt. Best game ever made. It will never happen... created the Source (not open source ) engine in linux would be... daunting at best.
I'm new here, and I'm new to Linux. I'm in the process of attempting to make a complete switch from Windows to Linux. I've spent quite a few hours in the past week and a half learning!I've been very pleasantly surprised with how well Linux has accepted the various hardware on the four differnt computer which I've installed it on. Only 1 minor problem. While there are some really excellent programs such as Open Office (which I had been running on Windows since version 1), when you get out of the mainstream programs, I've been a little disappointed with the selections of software. I would love to see Dreamweaver and Quicken moved to Linux, or full featured Linux equivalents available. I've used wine for getting my Deed Plotter+ and a few other programs to run, but in each instance I've found about 80% compatibility with those programs under wine, meaning that they function, but some features don't work as they would under windows. I will continue to move forward though and do the very best I can with Linux.
An Ubuntu 8.01 Linux program identical to Microsoft's Publisher
I write a monthly newsletter for my 100-member Hill Country Computer Club members who use Windows XP. Am trying to get them interested in Linux. As a Linux beginner, I use Ubuntu 8.01 myself and need Linux equivalent of Publisher - HELP!

Try Scribus, however it is more similar to a program like PageMaker or InDesign than Publisher.
